what i belive this qoute mean is that promise should never be broken . if you give your word you should obeyed by them. a person word is all they have so when you dishonor that that,s just shaming your self. for example if somebody said i will meet you somewhere at a certain time and dont show up. that person has no honor cause they didn't show up they didnt keep there word
