I believe that this quote means is that you must stand alone if you stand for what is right. it is better to stand a lone then to be in a crowd of bad desc ion. if you have to walk away from a bad situation then do it its better to stand alone then with bad company.   an example of a time to stand alone is if you are choosing the right and everyone else is not. if there is a group of your friend and there drinking and smoking you must stand alone and not drink or smoke because they are choosing the wrong. you must be a ctr student and choose the right.
